Mosh

A thoughtful take on what is a highly charged issue for just about everyone.
Since people are apt to draw overly broad conclusions from what amounts to flimsy, anecdotal 'evidence, I wonder what your take is on the current negative campaigning, especially these mindless but nasty attack ads recently run by the McCain campaign. It would be interesting to hear from a sociologist who is a long time student/observer/teacher of American politics. And an old (well not too old) 60s activist.

What I tried to do is look at what social science tells us about the typical experiences of a large number of people.

The person who wrote the previous comment might have a different perspective and a reason for it, but what is the value in such a response when it provides no information.
